McIntyre Associates
is a highly specialized executive search boutique, working at the
cutting edge of mission-critical Network Security, Infrastructure
Software & Web Services. We build senior management teams for
pre-IPO / liquidity event companies which enable their customers
to secure & manage networks, safely transact eBusiness, leverage
customer information and collaborate outside the firewall globally.
Clients include
venture capital and private equity firms, as well as F500 corporations
spinning-off divisions for liquidity events. Deals typically revolve
around next-generation enterprise software, but sometimes include
complex equipment technologies as well.
Established in
1987 to provide concentrated recruitment services to organizations
pursuing emerging technology initiatives, engagements consistently
support "revolutionary versus evolutionary" business environments
for clients selling to an early adopter customer base.

Process
Recruiting
/ multi-tasking - working for a combination of cash + stock, we
are typically retained in the early stages of investment (Angel through
Series B) of building pre-IPO companies. We remain intensely engaged
throughout the critically important scaling phase of bringing the
company to a successful Liquidity Event. We also help after they become
publicly traded companies, as circumstances require fresh thought
leadership, and contacts.
We deliver industry-specific
senior management and board members who are credible to Wall Street,
and have a track record of scaling intriguing technology plays into
profitable operating companies. Our candidates bring both large company
& venture backed startup experience.
We work in a cross-functional
model, also helping with industry G-2, messaging, partner development,
and deal flow. Industry-specific recruiting is combined with domain-oriented
business development to produce results beyond those of conventional,
transaction-based headhunting. This functional breadth significantly
increases our understanding of issues, opportunities, and problems
facing the client, and therefore our credibility in the field.
